ACBSP Accreditation - 2010
On June 27, 2010, the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) announced that PSG Institute of Management (PSG IM), Coimbatore, India was awarded accreditation. This was announced at the ACBSP Annual Conference held at Los Angeles, USA.

Douglas G. Viehland, executive director of the ACBSP, said the following about the institutes who got accredited, “These institutions have shown their commitment to teaching excellence by their participation in the accreditation process and their commitment to teaching excellence by their participation in the accreditation process and their achievement of accreditation. ACBSP is proud to assist these schools and programs in their commitment to quality business programs. We recognize their educational practices that contribute to the continuous improvement of business education.”

For institutions that achieve accreditation for their business schools and programs, this attainment certifies that the teaching and learning processes within that institution meet the rigorous educational standards established by ACBSP. The ratification of accreditation by ACBSP covers a ten-year period at which time an institution must reaffirm its quality by preparing a self-study and having another site visit. During the accreditation period, business programs are required to maintain the high quality standards of ACBSP.

PSG IM is the first institute in India to be accredited by ACBSP. “PSG Institute of Management has shown their commitment to teaching excellence and to the process of quality improvement by participating in the accreditation process,” said Steve Parscale, Director of Accreditation, ACBSP. “This accreditation is evidence that PSG Institute of Management is committed to providing the highest quality business education for their students,” added Parscale. ACBSP accreditation certifies that the teaching and learning processes within the business school at PSG Institute of Management meet the rigorous educational standards established by ACBSP.

ACBSP is a leading specialized accreditation association for business education supporting, celebrating, and rewarding teaching excellence. Established in 1988, ACBSP is the only business accrediting organization for all associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degree programs. In 2001, ACBSP was recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). There are currently more than 664 members, including 368 members from baccalaureate / graduate degree-granting institutions; 499 accredited institutions, including 333 from baccalaureate / graduate degree-granting institutions; and 89 institutions from outside the United States. ACBSP member institutions represent 38 different countries.

AIMS - “Leading in Turbulent Times: Role of Management Education”
Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) conducted its 21st Annual Management Education Convention on the Theme “Leading in Turbulent Times: Role of Management Education”.  The event was held on 27-29 August 2009 at Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.  In order to appreciate innovation in Management Education, AIMS instituted ‘AIMS-WeSchool Innovation Award’.  Business Schools across India participated in the contest.  PSG Institute of Management was awarded for its ‘Innovative Tools and Practices for Knowledge Delivery’.  The implementation of these tools aids the Institute in achieving the educational goals, continuous improvement and to assess learning accomplishments

CII - EXIM Bank Award For Business Excellence 2008
The CII – Exim Bank Award for Business Excellence was established jointly by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Export – Import (EXIM) Bank of India in 1994 to enhance the competitiveness of India Inc. The year 2008 award process saw unprecedented participation from corporate India with over 500 award applications. PSG Institute of Management was awarded commendation for significant achievement in the small and medium business category. 

The Rotary Club Award
The Rotary Club of Coimbatore in recognition of the contribution for PSG Institute of Management presented VOCATIONAL EXCELLENCE AWARD on.

GURUKUL JOTHI AWARD:
The Gurukul Jothi Foundation, New Delhi recognizes academic institution which excels and provides high quality education for the year 2006. PSG Institute of Management is conferred with GURUKUL JYOTI AWARD for the year 2006 at Delhi.

MMA AWARD FOR MANAGERIAL EXCELLENCE:
The Madras Management Association every year recognizes the best Institution which provides high quality education and shows excellence in the Management of Institution. For the year 2006 PSG Institute of Management was awarded the MANAGERIAL AWARD in the education sector.
