2009

• PGDM students participated in RAPTURE’ 09 – a management fest organized by Sree Saraswathi Thyagaraja College, Pollachi on 21st Feb 2009. Sudharshan Bellie and Arvind Iyer won III place in the Quiz, with a cash prize of Rs 1000. Students also participated in the Marketing Game, Stock Wars and Best Manager rounds.

• I MBA students participated in ICFEST 09 organized by ICFAI Coimbatore on 25th February. Karthik Kannan GV was adjudged Best Manager. Madula, Merin Anusha, S.Karthikeyan, Giridharan T won the Best Management team. The students also participated in the HR, Finance, Marketing game and business quiz. II PGDM students also participated in the event. Sunithi, Gayathri and Sabna won the HR Game. Vasanth and Kiran Kumar won the Business Quiz.

• Mohamed Rinaz and Rithu Parnan of II MBA won the ET in Campus quiz organized by The Times of India on 18th February. They won two Sony DVD home theatre systems, trophy and gift vouchers worth Rs 5000 each.

• Rithu Parnan and Vignesh of II MBA won the I place in the quiz conducted by the Institute of company Secretaries, Coimbatore chapter on February 7th. They won a cash prize of Rs 1500.

• Rithu Parnan and Mohamed Rinaz won the third place in the quiz conducted by the Coimbatore Management Association on the 14th of February.

• Ajay Kumar and Vignesh won II place in the Southern Regional round of the AIMA National Student Management Quiz held on the 24th of January. They received gift hampers and qualified for the National finals of the same quiz.

• Ajay Kumar and Vignesh won the III place in the National Finals of the AIMA National Students Management Quiz held on February 28th at Noida. The won a cash prize of Rs 15000.

• Rithu Parnan and Mohamed Rinaz won the III place of the TATA Crucible quiz contest held at Coimbatore on the 28th of February. They won DVD players and other gifts.

• Vinod Kumar.S, Nachinarkiniyan.D, Aravindakshan and Shanmugarajan of II PGDM participated in MegaWorld; an event conducted by IIT Kanpur and won II in CXO. They received a cash prize of RS 5000.

• GIMFEST – the management meet of Guruvayurappan Institute of Management was held on 27th February. PGDM students participated. Gayathri, Aarthi.R and Sajith won I prize in HR game. Amit and Nachinarkiniyan won the I place in the IT game. Mithun Kamal and Arvind Iyer got the III place in Business Quiz. The students won the overall trophy and got cash prizes amounting to Rs.5000 and trophies.

• Tour De Force – a management fest of SNS Business School was conducted on 4th March. I PGDM students participated. Vijayakumar and Mithunkamal won the I Place in Business Quiz with a cash prize of Rs 3000. Bharanidharan.C, Mekala, Niranchana and PriyaLAkshmi won II Place in ADZAP with a cash prize of Rs.2000. The team comprising of Annie Jenifer, Anisha, Kavipriya and GomathiShankar won II in the Best Management team. MBS students also participated in the event. Karthik Kannan and Saravanan Palanichamy won I place in Business quiz with a cash prize of Rs.2000. Ranjith Kuriakose, Manikandan.N.S, Karthik.R and Joseph Mariajulean won the I place in Best Management Team with a cash prize of Rs.2000

• RVS Institute of Management Studies and Research conducted SIGRUN on 13th March. PSG IM students won the overall trophy and cash prizes totaling Rs. 29000. Gayathri of II PGDM won the Best Manager. Siddheswaran, Dilip Govind, Arun Shankan and Vinod Kumar won the Best Management Team. Nachinarkiniyan and Praveen. A won the IT Game, Vasanth and Kamala Kannan won the Business Quiz, Feroz Khan, Arunjith and Kumara Senthil Raja won the Marketing event. Balaji and Sarfaraz Ahmed won II place in the Finance Game.

• Genesis’09 an intercollegiate event of Nehru College of Management was conducted. Johnny Tom and Jeevanathan won the I place in Business Plan. Mithun Kamal and ArumugaPerumal won II in Business Quiz. Sabna, Sunithi, Deepak and Kamaakshi won I in Best Management Team. The students participated in the marketing game, best manager and other events. They got cash prizes totaling Rs.3500.

• SAN International Business School conducted Ajanma in which PGDM students participated. Sunithi, Sabna, Soumya Kamal won II place in HR and Best Management Team events. Nachinarkiniyan.D won the first place in IT game and second palace in De-bugging. ArunShankar, Shunmugarajan and Delia won second in the marketing game. Aarthi & Sarfaraz won second in the Finance game. The team won cash prizes of Rs3500.

• Suverna International Institute of Management conducted FUMA ’09 on the 20th and 21st of March. PSG IM won the overall trophy with Sumana bagged the Best Manager. The students won I place in debate, Quiz, business plan and team work events and second in Ad-Venture and Best Management Team. The team comprised of Annie Jenifer, Johnny Tom, Bharanidharan, Niranjana, Priya Lakshmi, Kavipriya, Mekhala and Gomathi Shankar.

• Maestro Phronesis ’09 was conducted by Nehru Institute of Management Studies. I MBA students participated, Arun.S and KarthikeyanS won the I place in Paper Presentation. Manikandan, Karthik Kannan. Karthik.R and S.Karthikeyan won II place in Best Management Team.

• Hindustan School of Management conducted Exemplar’09 on 20th March. Gayathri, Vinod Kumar, Siddheswaran and Manoj Kumar won III place in Best Management Team. Arun Benitto, Mahendran, Praveen.A and Sangamoovan won II in the Marketing event. They won cash prizes of Rs 3000.

• Dhriti’09 was conducted by Sona Institute of Management. Gayathri, Ann Philo Thomas and Sajith won I place in HR Game. Sarfaraz Ahmed and Aarthi won II place in Business Analysis. Siddeswaran, VinodKumar, DilipGovind and ManojKumar won Best Management Team. Arun Shankar won the SMS contest. The team won a cash prize of Rs7000.

• Karpagam University conducted Sahanav’09 on 6th March. Gayathri & Manoj kumar of PGDM won I place in Case Analysis. DilipGovind & Siddeswaran won I in Math Quiz. Aarthi and Sarfaraz Ahmed wonI place in Finance game. KamalaKannan and Venkatesh won III place in Business Quiz. The team won cash Prize of Rs3500.

• Thiagaraja School of Management conducted Yukti’09. The I MBA students won the overall trophy. The team consisted of Kannan.M, Karthikeyan.S, SaravanaKumar.G, Arun.S, KarthikKannan, Sravan, Karthik.R, Madhi Anand Kumar and Giridharan. The team won cash prizes totaling Rs9000. PGDM students also participated in the event. They won the HR game won a cash prize of Rs.2000.

• AIMA National Students Quiz Contes

• Students of PSG IM participated in URJITH 2009 an intercollegiate management fest hosted by GRG School of Management studies on the 12th of January. Mr.GV Karthik Kannan of I MBA was the winner of the Best Manager and won a cash prize of Rs 15,000. Kirubanand, Jayachandran and Karthik won the Strategy Management Game and were awarded a cash prize of Rs 3000. Saravana Kumar, Arun.S and Siva M won the Finance Game and received a cash prize of Rs 5000. Students participate din the HR Game, Quiz, Marketing game and in the Best Management Team contest also.

• TAPMI hosted ‘Atharva’ a Business Plan contest on the 9th of January. Ashok Kumar V and Karunamoorthi of I PGDM were selected finalists from among the 250 contestants
