Commissioned in the Indian army on 15th July 1969 and took premature retirement during 1994. During his service he has taken active part in following operation apart from other normal defense activities.
1. Bangladesh Operation 1971
2. Insurgency operation at Mizoram
3. Insurgency operation at Assam
4. Was part of Indian Peace Keeping Force at Srilanka from 1987 to 1989
He is the Administrative officer of PSG Institute of Management since 1994 and he also has the additional responsibility as the PSG Tech Hostel Manager, which has strength of 4,500 students.
