Dr.V.Srividya is a graduate in commerce and Management. She received her doctoral degree from Bharathiar University in 2001. She currently teaches advanced financial management and Investment courses at PSG Institute of Management. Before Joining PSG IM she was teaching in PSGR Krishnammal College for Women for two years. She was with the industry for over a year, inclusive of a short term at Rajshree Investments Pvt. Ltd. Her interests are in Behavioral finance, financial services and Microfinance. She underwent the Faculty Development Programme at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad during 2002-03. She also attended a short term programme on Wealth Management organized by ICICI Bank at Bangkok during 2005 and offers value added course on the same for the students of PSG. She conducts the Faculty development Programme on Case Analysis and development for B-school Faculty and handles Management Develpoment for the past four consecutive years, which has a wide participation of faculty from South India. She has presented 20 papers in national and international conferences and has published six papers in the areas of entrepreneurship and investments in National Journals. She has developed two cases which have been used for classroom teaching. She has delivered lectures in contemporary finance topics at various colleges and Bharathiar university in Coimbatore and Erode, TN. She is involved in consultancy projects for Financial Institutions in the areas of fund management and revival plan.She is the recipient of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)'s Best Young Teacher Career Award for the Year 2005-2006. She has a research grant for the project titled 'A study on Financial Intermediation through Microfinance: Role of Financial Institutions for Economic growth in India' for a three year period 2005-08. She has been a visiting faculty to the University of Toledo, St.Josephs Univeristy and Sandiego State university in the US for pursuing collaborative research during 2006.
Ms.V.Thilagam is a Post graduate in commerce and M Phil in commerce and has completed her PhD at the centre for economic and social studies Hyderabad. Is been with PSG Institute of Management for the past 11 years. Her areas of interest includes Accounting, Finance and Entrepreneurship. She has an academic experience of 15 years and research experience of 10 years. She has also undergone a training programme at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Bangalore and is an EDI recognized trainer to train students to become entrepreneurs. She has to her credit, a text- cum-workbook on Management Accounting, and few papers on small entrepreneurs at National and International Conferences. She has also given guest lectures on Entrepreneurship, How to start a small business and Accounting.
Mr. M. P. Pandikumar has completed post graduation course on Finance and control (MFC) in the Madurai Kamaraj University during the years 1992-94. He completed his M.Phil in the M.K.University .He has presented 14 papers in the international and national conferences and seminars. He is the recipient of the best thought provoking paper award with reward during the convention conducted and organized by the Life Insurance Corporation of India, held at Ambattur during the year 2007. He has acted as a technical presenter for more than 4 national and international seminars and conferences among them which two were sponsored by the UGC, New Delhi. He has published three papers in the national journals viz. financial services and Insurance. He has conducted many training and development programmes for teachers, students of various levels. He organized many State level and National seminars as an organizer at various point of time. He authored a book on “Management Accounting” for PG management students to get more insight on the course. In addition to the above, he prepared and authored study materials for Bharathiar University, coimbatore.
Dr. N. Vijayakumar has obtained doctoral degree in Finance entitled "An Empirical Study on Equity based Options market in India” from Department of Financial Studies, University of Delhi South Campus, New Delhi during 2009. He holds M. Com (Business Finance) and M.Phil (Finance) degree from Department of Commerce, Pondicherry University. Before joining PSG, he worked as Lecturer of Finance in the Department of Banking Technology (School of Management), Pondicherry University. He has more than 3 years of teaching experience in the field of Accounting and Finance. He has written 9 research papers and 5 articles, which are published in refereed national and international journals as well as presented 8 papers in the national and international conferences.
Ms.D.Kavitha is a lecturer in the area of Accounting and Finance. A post-graduate in Management from Bharathiar University, she has a work experience of 4 years in academic and 3 year experience in industry. Her current areas of interest are Corporate Governance and Financial Disclosure practices. She is currently pursuing research in the area of disclosure practices.
Mr. P. Varadharajan has completed his post graduate degree in management from University of Madras. He has specialized in Finance and Marketing. He is pursuing his doctoral degree from Anna University, Coimbatore in the area of Behavioral Finance. His doctoral thesis is titled "Attitudinal behavior of Active Market Participants towards selection of equity portfolio". At PSGIM where Varadharajan has been teaching for the past three years, he has specialized in financial management, accounting, security analysis and portfolio management and derivatives. He has nearly seven years of teaching and three year of corporate experience. He is presently the co-ordinator for MBA (part time) programme at PSG IM. He has published 10 research articles in a range of finance journals (National and International). He has participated in workshops, faculty development programmes contucted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kozhikode. Varadharajan is one of the core committee team member which lead the PSG Institute of Management to attain the prestigious ACBSP (Association of Colligiate Business Schools and Programmes) accreditation and also a core committee member of outbound activities at PSG IM. His business experiance ranges from explosives, PVC pipe manufacturing, construction material, textiles and share market.
Mr. L. S. Sridhar has Masters Degree in Commerce with First Class; he also completed his M.Phil in the area of Commerce under the title “A Study on BSE Small-Cap Index”. He finished Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Anna University Chennai with First Class. He has participated in more than ten International Conferences and presented papers and contributed in conference proceedings. He has participated in Management workshop at various leading B-Schools in the country. He his very familiar in various financial and Econometrics soft wares His interest lays in the area of Finance, Econometrics, specifically stock markets. He published good research articles in various national and international journals. |
