Dr. R.Nandagopal is currently the Director of PSG Institute of Management. He received his Ph.D in Finance in 1985 from the University of Madras. He has worked in leading Institutions like Institute of Public Enterprise Hyderabad, and Loyola College, Madras in various capacities. He has organized number of Executive Development programmes for the senior and middle level Managers. He was the member of various Bodies and done consultancy work in the area of Financial Management and restructuring of organizations. He has published more than 50 articles in Management Journals in India and abroad and also authored 6 - 7 books in Management.
Dr.H.Raman., Professor of Economics, PSG Istitute of Management, PSG Institute of Technology, Coimbatore has gained expertise in Industrial Economics as well as Monetary Economics. After completing MA Economics course in 1974 in PSG Arts and Sceince college , Coimbatore,he joined as research student in the Department of Economics , University of Madras for research studies in 1975 and obtained M.phil degree in Economics wirth specialisation in Monetary and Mathematicl Economics. Subsequently,he joined CSIR-CLRI (The Cetral Leather Research Institutre, Adayar , Chennai) in Sepember 1977as Economic Investigator and conducted extensive research on leather industry in various states in India for two years.Again,he joined as Research Scholar in the Department of Economics, University of Mardras in 1978 and got his Ph.D degree in 1984 in the area of Industrial Economics.He has put in 27 years of service in various capacities in the Post-graduate and Research Department of Economics under the Directorate of Tamil Nadu Collegiate Educational Service.He has published 30 research articles in varous national and international journals apart from contributing research articles to daily News papers such as the Hindu , the New Indian Express etc.He has guided 31 M.Phil and Ph.D students.He has completed UGC Minor research project on "Production Viability, Domestic Marketabilityand Export Potentiality of Tea in respect of Small Tea Growers in Nilgiris District and a Major UGC research project on "A study of small investors in Coimbatore , Nilgiris and Erode districts in respect of Stock Markets and Mutual Funds". He has chaired about 40 seminar sessions in varoius educational institutions and universities in Tamil Nadiu as well as universities in other states and presented about 60 seminar papers at national and regional level seminars relating to various economic issues. He is a life member in the Indian Economic Association. After completing the Tamil Nadu collegiate educational service, he joined as Professor of Economics in the PSG Institute of Management from 3rd june 2009.
Having completed her M.Phil thesis on the imagery in Tagore's Gitanjali, Ms.SriGayathri Devi joined PSG IM in June 2000. She has done a diploma course in Fashion Designing & Dress Making. She is currently undergoing Maters Programme in Business Administration at MKU. She has undergone an extensive Faculty Development Programme for 4 months at IIMA. She has conducted various Management Development Programmes for Corporate and Faculty Development Programme for School Teachers. Having nearly 9 yrs of experience in academics, her areas of teaching expertise lies in General English, Business Communication and Managerial Communication. |
