Dr. M.T.Thiagarajan has more than five decades of academic as well as industrial experience. He founded the MBA program at PSG College of Technology in 1971. He was also the Founder - Dean of MBA programme in Pondichery Central University. He was invited as Visiting Professor of Business Studies by the University of South Carolina, Columbia, USA. He was also a Visiting Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies at the Free University of West Berlin, Germany. He is also profiled in the American edition of WHO's WHO in the World by Marquis of USA, the Bibliography publishers in nearly 20 streams for more than a century since 1899. Dr. Thiagarajan's industrial experience of nearly 20 years covered such industries as T.I cycles, Textools, Best and Crompton, Binny's etc... in such capacities as Head of Industrial Engineering dept, Head of Production and Materials control dept, Head of R&D department etc. Prior to Joining PSG IM as Professor, he was a Professor at Bharathiar School of Management of Bharathiar University.
He is ex-Senior Management Executive, L&T, Mumbai with around 28 years of industrial experience in multi-disciplines of Design, Marketing, Systems, Strategic planning & alliances, Standards committees, Taskforces…all related to switchgear, control electronics, automation, new projects , globalisation etc. and has been a recipient of good industrial design awards on behalf of L&T. Earlier, he has taught as Asst. Professor of engineering, at VJTI, Mumbai and has served as faculty in Summer Schools, as member of the Board of Studies, as member of recruitment panels and in industry-academic interactions at the University of Mumbai. He has widely traveled including countries like UK, Germany, Japan and USA. He has served on various interactions and negotiations with the officials & delegates of Japanese, American & European multi- national companies on JV agreements, technology transfers, marketing alliances & other partner relationships. He has written articles in professional journals and in-house magazines. He is currently associated with PSG IM as Visiting Professor of Management on programs for MBA and PGDM. His subjects include International Business, Industrial Marketing, Project management, TQM, Operations management, Business Negotiations…etc…He is also associated with the institute's management development programs and the initiatives of the Center of Technology Management (CTM) at PSG IM, as member of its Governing Council.
Mr. N. Vivek, Associate Professor at PSG College of Technology. He has a teaching experience of 9 years and industry experience of 2 years. Currently he has completed his Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management. He has specialized in Quantitative Methods, Research Methods, Business Statistics, Supply Chain Management and Operations Management. His other interests include Stock Market Investment and Valuations, Online Education, Value Based Management, Quality Control, Indian Ethos Development, Sustainable Rural Development, Student Counseling and Permaculture. http://viswadatta.blogspot.com
He has qualified doctoral degree in the broad field of Statistical Quality Control. He has seven years experience in teaching in the areas of Statistics and their applications. He has published papers in International and National level journals such as SriLankan Journal of Applied Statistics, International Journal of Statistics and Management Systems and International Journal of Statistics and Systems. He has attended and presented research papers in more than sixteen conferences. He has attended Capacity Building program on Multi-media and e-content development conducted by UGC-CEC.He is interested in Statistical Packages-Data analysis, Operations Research and Business research |
