Dr.George Joseph Alapatt

       Dr. George Joseph Alapatt has nearly three decades of Postgraduate Management Teaching. Rank holder in Masters in Economics, went on to do his M Phil in developing an Econometric Model for Local Finance. Completed his PhD in Economics, studying export performance and operation of SMEs.  Consistently voted as the Best Teacher, believes teaching the generation next is igniting critical thinking, and driving home concepts with real life examples from industry and economy.

       Having felt the need for industry experience and international exposure, whilst teaching management, decided to plunge into the domain of consulting as an international higher education strategist. Started working for the start-up based in Birmingham, UK with the primary focus on mobility of student and faculty across borders. Within three years was responsible for all the offices in India, in the capacity as the Director.
       With the penchant for academic partnership, was able to identify Indian partners for University of Hull, Leeds Business School, Queen’s University Belfast, Staffordshire University, Coventry University, Worcester University, Wolverhampton University, Birmingham College and RDI, UK.
       Later started working for the UK awarding bodies ICM, UK and ABE, UK and moved into the realm of B to B, as the Country Manager. Was responsible to find academic partners pan India. The partners included traditional universities, deemed universities, management institutes, training partners and trade bodies.
       Currently he is associated with the Cambridge International Education Center, UK and ATHE, UK, giving policy directions and identifying strategic fit partners.
